Due to the high volume of volunteers utilized for this effort, it was important to organize offsite of the cemetery. Thankfully, the Mall of America stepped up as a logistics partner for our event! All registered volunteers will park at the Mall of America in the EAST PARKING RAMP to be shuttled as a part of our flag placement process. It is here that you will receive your Station Assignments, Flag Placement Training, and Wristbands to receive flags and transport on the shuttles. Please do not skip these steps.
This is a very large event happening on one of Fort Snelling’s busiest weekends, so we are doing all we can to keep our presence on the grounds as organized as possible. Organizing offsite also prevents vehicle traffic issues within the cemetery. (Who remembers our legendary 6am back-up on 494 in 2017, going BOTH ways? …yes, that was us!)
